why is the awd so special?
its got TWO turbos. modded cars with two turbos are pushing more like 700hp
yeah if your gunning it around a corner yeah its hard to drive but your not a complete idiot than your not going to have any problems with it in the snow.

how do they get the z06 from 505 hp to 1000+ hp?
just wondering

You're sorely mistaken, and wrong. It by far has the best AWD system ever made. It also has the most sophisticated technology you can get in an AWD car, but what's great is you can turn it all off. Yeah teh z06 doesnt have any turbos, but how many more litres is the engine? That completely makes up for any turbo. Why would it be hard to drive in the snow, around 500hp rear wheel drive? That's why. You're saying the Skyline isn't a great car, and by saying that you're completely wrong.
zo0yoRk69 on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
ill give you the skyline might be more practical, but i see it alot more than a z06, everyone is drooling over it.. and all it is, is a twin turbo v6 with 4wd and some extra room. its overrated
zo0yoRk69 on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
idk the guy down the street is a inline 6 with about 400hp and is not running a turbo. all the more reason to take the z06 its about the same price sounds a whole lot better, no turbo. also why would you care about 4 seats and cargo space? its a race car not a family road trip car. why would it be hard to drive in the snow? maybe if your going around a corner at 90mph but id think the skyline would have the same problem..

The older skylines were mostly 2.6l Twin turbo... not naturally aspirated. Not nearly 400hp either, more closely to 300-320 with turbo timer, boost controller. I'm a ford man too. The new one is shit? You're retarded clearly, the new one is damn near perfection. Can hold 4 people(corvette cant) Has trunk space(corvette doesnt) You can drive it in any weather comfortably(Try driving a normal corvette in the snow, let alone a z06). Not only does the skyline have similar numbers, its practical. end
zo0yoRk69 on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
lol even tho the new skyline lost every road test except the 0-60 time. put it on a track that it was designed to race on as the 911 and the vette were not. and the skyline won by like a 1/2 sec
lol its really not that great its a 3.8L with 2 turbos. the older skylines MIGHT have been something to brag about cause they were naturally aspirated putting out 400hp from a v6. the new one is shit seen it a bunch, been in it, its not all that great. im a Ford man and id definitely take the z06 anyday

too much Hp for the dyno.. lol badass
sh1yne on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
Over rated, you're sorely mistaken. The new Skyline can beat a Porsche 911 turbo, and costs about, see 50k+ less. Also it weighs waayyyy more(the skyline). The new skyline, old skylines, every skyline(GT-R especially) are utterly fantastic cars that the US market could never duplicate.
The new Z06 would have a hard time competing with a new Skyline, not sure which one would win, car and driver rated it above a Z06, a 911 Turbo, and a Viper ACR(Broke nurburgring speed record). Not overrated.

then how the hell do you explain smoking the tires on a dyno? |
